Unboxing Glamourbox December 2012: Reviews and Photos

The December 2012 Glamourbox features an assortment of beauty products to keep the skin and glowing and radiant” for the holiday season. Most of the items from this loot are skincare products which is why I tested them all for about two weeks before posting this review. Overall, I love my November Glamourbox and I must say that the December Glamourbox did not disappoint.

Celebrating Van’s Birthday 2013: Penne Pasta in Drunken Red Wine Meat Sauce

So soon after the holidays come mine and Van’s birthdays – only a day apart. I know, bad news for any diet-related resolutions. We wanted to avoid another all-out party that will most likely wreck our already bedraggled finances and so decided to spend a quiet celebration by ourselves this year. But a birthday is not really complete without pasta and wine – or any intoxicating liquid for that matter! Since another resolution is to swear off alcoholic drinks for a while, the only recourse is to make the pasta – or sauce – drunk. Nice solution, right? So without further ado, my Penne Pasta in Drunken Red Wine Meat Sauce was born.

The MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Dark ($29.00 / Php 1,750.00) is a domed face powder infused with baked minerals which provides a natural-looking matte finish. Zane purchased this for me at the MAC counter in SM Mall of Asia three months ago and I have been using it religiously since then.

Celebrating the Holidays 2012: Hot and Spicy Spaghetti

Happy 2013! Yay! Couldn’t believe Christmas and the 1st day of the year have come and gone so quickly – not to mention the end of the world thingy that thankfully never happened! We’re still reeling from a severe case of holiday hangover so this post is waaaay overdue. Celebrating Christmas and New Year’s Eve has been a tradition that me and Van grew up with in our families. Now that we’re both a wee bit “mature” and are living with our horde of 6 adorable cats, we have continued that tradition every year. For the holidays, our Hot and Spicy Party Spaghetti took center stage. We accompanied it with a slow-cooked crispy roasted chicken, crispy pata (deep-fried pork hocks and knuckles), our trusted bistek and seafood sinigang, just to mix it up.
