It’s only natural for mature men and women to want to look youthful for a longer period of time. With the advent of researches and studies pertaining to slowing down the process of aging, I have compiled a list of simple rules that we can follow to halt the hands of time.
1. Fight stress
According to recent studies, stress can speed up skin aging. Beating deadlines, financial problems, lack of exercise and unhealthy diet are just some of the common stressors that can cause a string of negative health blows like insomnia, weight gain, impaired immune system which lead to faster biological aging. According to a 2005 study conducted at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, age-related changes in the brain can be prevented by practicing meditation 10 to 20 minutes daily. Meditation can provide you with a sense of peace and calm which can greatly reduce stress more than any medicine could. Yoga, running and breathing exercises are just some of the meditation activities you can engage in.
